Tonight I bought a pair of “Un Tour en Ville” boots called “Sedain”.

I’m a terrible shopper, especially when it comes to footwear. I hate shopping to begin with, but I have a lot of challenges with finding appropriate footwear: from post-surgery feet, to constant back pain. I have to ensure they are the right fit and support. I have size 10.5 feet. I have been wanting a pair of knee-high boots for everyday wear for a long time. I never seem to be able to find ones that will fit over my large calves. But, sometimes I just want a pretty shoe. Is it too much to ask to make pretty and supportive shoes for monster sized feet?
I decided to go straight to the source and try out a higher end shop. Customer service at John David Shoes in Park Lane, Halifax is fantastic. My salesperson, Mike, knew his stuff and brought me a mountain of boots to try on. I found boots that fit over my calves and felt good to boot! They’re red. They’re fashionable and versatile – I can wear them with all colours of dress pants (within reason) and winter weight skirts and dresses. I will only buy one pair of boots that aren’t snow boots (likely EVER) so they have to be versatile. They’re not quite knee-high, but do go over my calves. Did I mention they’re RED?!

The big test now is how comfortable they’ll be for long time wear, especially standing and walking. Wearing them around the house is certainly not the real world test, but will have to do. In the mean time, if you know of a really sexy boot in Halifax (I have to try them on before I buy), that has awesome sole and ankle support, please let me know within the next ten days!
LOVE!!
They are lovely!
