I am a little late reporting on this, but this month’s12 in 12 challenge is: to read at least 60 minutes/day. I usually do, but to elaborate, this means specifically to read something offline. A novel, non-fiction book, even an e-book/manifesto, magazine will count.
I have two books in particular I want to read this month: Full Catastrophe Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness and The Sisters Brothers . And I still have those To Be Read books to get through!
What are you reading lately?
Greetings from Cork Ireland where I’m delighted to find out about your new habit – reading offline.
My grandfather opened a bookshop in 1902 – still in the family today. He’ll be pleased to find you.
You’ve made me think about my own reading habits: I’ve so many books on the go. My current habit is never to finish a book ( other than thrillers).
Could I try out the habit of finishing every book I start for a month? That would be tough for me. Perhaps I’d start no book. Perhaps the habit could be tweaked to read “finish every book I start & don’t start a new book until the current one is finished”?
This would fit with “Heartfulness” or “Mindfulness” – which is my new practice from 12 March to 11 April 2012.
Thank you very much…
